Ni Hao~ Well, it has been quite a long time not to post anything here. Let's talk about food from Taiwan, especially the one that you will often find in the morning. There are quite a lot of people which are into breakfast kind of person and prefer to be like a boss at breakfast meal more than the rest of the day like lunch and dinner. And it goes the same like Dwi! Let's talk about Taiwanese breakfast!

1. Jianbing
Jianbing is freakishly popular among local people as a grab-and-go kind of breakfast. No need any utensils and you can just eat it freshly warm from the stalls (of course seller will give you a holder paper). It's simple and made from crepe, omelet, and chop of scallions, mixed it together on a hot pan. This one is my most favorite meal as a breakfast and one day I even ate Jianbing thrice for breakfast, afternoon snacking, and dinner. LOL. You can add condiments if you like such as vinegar, chilli sauce, or just leave it as it is (it's already good, I promise). It's very simple yet tasty, and quite fulfilling that hold your hunger until lunch time comes. The price is very affordable, ranging from 20-30 NTD for each of this yummy things.

2. Steamed Bun with Egg
Taiwanese takes their bun/bread seriously high. I, personally who love bread, is on heaven here. It's pretty ranging, you can almost find any kind of bakeries on the street, mall, or even on the small alley to your hotel. For breakfast, they usually served steamed bun, which often called as Mantao, and it comes as white or brown color. No difference of taste, though (IMO). To complete your morning hunger, it usually comes with fried egg or omelet as the protein. It is kind of grab-to-go breakfast as well. Because of its simplicity, the price is also very affordable, ranging from 10-17 NTD for each.

3. Peanut Butter Toasted Bread
I personally don't think that this one is a local breakfast, but I always find it at my favorite breakfast stall at Hsinchu and had it like couple of times. It is simple yet heaven to me, because two of my favorite things together in my mouth which is bread and peanut butter. Hehehehe. The crispiness of the outer layer of bread is just right on its level and the peanut butter itself is buttery but not very sweet, perfect to my liking! Aside from the peanut butter, there are another one, like matcha, milk, and cheese. I only get to taste peanut butter and matcha, but I personally prefer into PB more than matcha (and moreover I didn't get to photo that one up until this post was made hehehe). It costs you only 10-18 NTD!

4. Chicken Bread
I also don't have any idea what the mandarin name of this meal, but since this one is very very very tasty, I have to tell you! Actually you can choose between chicken or pork. Since I can't have pork, so I opt for chicken! It looks like a pastel which contains chopped of chicken breast, scallions, and omelet. The great thing is they added pepper into it, so the taste is becoming richer! No, it is not that spicy, you can have it enjoy, but the seller will give you an additional of chili sauce for you spicy lovers (me love it!) PS. Enjoy it while it's still warm!

There are another local Taiwanese breakfast that you should try as well. And actually, people here loves to complete their breakfast with black tea, green tea, or soy milk. It is cheap as well, like 10 NTD you can get one cup of beverage. If you will go to Taiwan, please do spare of your tummy for this meal (aside from your breakfast hotel buffet). You can find it easily in the street along the way you go. If you happened to be here, please do share what's your favorite breakfast on the comment section!

Bye bye~
